Picture
Yesterday, December 17, 2022, a group of people unloaded sleds at 6k on the Gorge Road and rode them up to 15k and back down. The picture above shows them parked at 15k. Not only is this extremely dangerous to all involved its illegal and jeopardizes the Gorge FSR staying open to public.

A reminder for everyone on snowmobiles on FSR's:
  • It is illegal to operate a snowmobile on a plowed Forest Service Road in B.C.
  • Snowmobilers can cross a plowed Forest Service Road with a minimum of $200,000 in third-party liability insurance, carrying a valid driver’s license, wearing an approved helmet, and crossing when safe.
  • Snowmobilers are allowed to travel on Forest Service Roads without insurance if the road is unplowed and cannot be accessed by other vehicles.

Please, please, do not sled on the Gorge FSR, share this and help keep the Gorge FSR safe and open!
